What is SCORE?
Founded in 1964, SCORE is headquartered in Herndon, VA, and now has 10,000+ dedicated volunteers in more than 300 chapters nationwide offering expertise in over 62 industries. We offer small business entrepreneurs confidential business counseling services at no charge. SCORE volunteers have the knowledge and tools you need to reach your business goals.
SCORE provides free local workshops and events nationwide, connecting small business owners with the people and information they need to start, grow, and maintain their businesses. We offer online workshops that are available 24/7. SCORE provides resources, tools, and templates to assist entrepreneurs in developing plans and strategies needed to navigate their way to small business success.
SCORE Wichita Chapter Provides Mentoring for Small Business Owners in Kansas
SCORE's Wichita Chapter was founded in 1976 and has the distinction of being one of the oldest SCORE chapters in the nation. Our Wichita mentors are experienced and seasoned business owners and managers. Over the past 40+ years, they have volunteered to use their business experience, energy, and knowledge to assist start-ups and existing small business owners. Our dynamic chapter now has more than 35 business-savvy volunteers in the Wichita area whose experience and skills have positively impacted hundreds of businesses.
Wichita SCORE volunteers work closely with the Small Business Association (SBA) in meeting the expectation of over 600 entrepreneurs from all industries each year. Our counselors volunteer over 5000 hours per year networking, reaching out to the community, and giving business, guidance, and leadership. We sponsor business workshops, support local colleges, and high schools, city-wide job fairs, and talk to local groups about our mission and passion.

Mentoring sessions are currently virtual (phone, email, video conference) by appointment. After social distancing ends, we plan on having Face-to-face sessions in our office at 220 W Douglas, Page Court, Suite 450 Mon-Thu 9:00 am – 3:30 pm with appointment preferred, please call (316) 239-1131. Other times/locations as arranged by appointment.
